Rainy and Romantic West Village One-Year Wedding Anniversary Photoshoot

Rachel is one of my returning New York City clients! We share a love for the Upper West Side, deep-fried memes, and our senior rescue dogs (Tito and Bumblebee. We know they’d be friends!) In the fall, she hired me to photograph her for a re-branding session for her photography business. Tree-lined Central Park South and taxi-dotted 5th ave was our backdrop for that photoshoot.

I was so excited when she reached out to hire me to photograph her and her husband’s first wedding anniversary photoshoot! It took place at the dreamy West Village (one of my all-time favorite locations), and the rain made it so romantic. It reminded me of this rainy Soho proposal I photographed previously— rain is such a happy accident! And it’s definitely a lot more comfortable than shooting in the snow.

GEAR USED: I used this mirrorless camera for this session, this 50mm lens, and this 85mm lens.

P.S. Are you a photographer who is going to do a photoshoot in NYC soon? I share my favorite spots in my NYC location guide.
